Lúcio Rosa's late challenge caught a THC F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Pedro Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Vinhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Joélson de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir da Silva in the 27th minute of play. Rodrigo Leite charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Rosado was the one to do the kick off. Erasmo Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joélson de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldir da Silva in the 60th minute of the match. Rodrigo Leite was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Pedro Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Vinhas having to interfere. Cido Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rafa Vinhas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
