A collision led to Phoênnyx getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Júlio Cruz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Renatinho Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirassol Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Renatinho Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Corrêa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Mirassol Esporte Clube's Arthur Corrêa threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Velloso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Phoênnyx's Arthur Corrêa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Phoênnyx from getting a goal against them. Nilmar Couto had several of the Phoênnyx's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Arthur Corrêa as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 23rd match minute, Phoênnyx was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natã Berger to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Claudinho Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Phoênnyx's zone, Joel Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Corrêa came out of the goal and Joel Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Phoênnyx's Guto Motta got a free kick in the 26th minute. Claudinho Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Phoênnyx's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Velloso came free, but Arthur Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phoênnyx's Arthur Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Velloso in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Joel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Mirassol Esporte Clube's Joel Velloso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arthur Corrêa. Arthur Corrêa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudinho Gerber was the one to do the kick off. Arthur Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Joel Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Phoênnyx getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Erasmo Cordeiro hit a great ball. Marcel Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gustavo Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Maciel having to interfere. Arthur Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Velloso in the 69th minute of the match. Arthur Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Couto in the 75th minute of play. Natã Berger's late challenge caught a Mirassol Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natã Berger helped the player get up and apologised. Natã Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Velloso in the 77th minute of play forced Phoênnyx's goalkeeper Arthur Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Velloso in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Márcio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mirassol Esporte Clube booed when Phoênnyx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Berger didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mirassol Esporte Clube had played much better football throughout.
