With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laerte Messias in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorginho Paulista saved Hooligans F.C from getting behind. Gilvan Leite took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorginho Paulista. Jorginho Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jorginho Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Vianna, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Jorginho Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Messias in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Laerte Messias notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Hooligans F.C's Jorginho Paulista. Jorginho Paulista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jorginho Paulista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Messias in the 25th minute of the match. Jorginho Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Vianna in the 27th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Adriano Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorginho Paulista was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Laerte Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Paulista having to interfere. Telmo de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laerte Arantes in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlo Cardano to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorginho Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Torres's late challenge caught a Hooligans F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edinho Torres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, Grêmio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edinho Torres to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute, Carlo Cardano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Telmo de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlo Cardano in the 59th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Hooligans F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Grêmio FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Hooligans F.C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Grêmio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Grêmio FC.
