Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amancio Caitano hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Ernesto Luz struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Stefanos Sioufas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capitão FC. After having played for 16 minutes, Ernesto Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capitão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 28 played minutes LocoPub FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilson Faria. 29 minutes into the match, LocoPub FC's goalkeeper Stefanos Sioufas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Inácio Queiroz. Stefanos Sioufas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute Ernesto Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefanos Sioufas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefanos Sioufas was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Ernesto Luz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernesto Luz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Amancio Caitano hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Luz made a kick off. César Castro took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romário de Mendonça. Romário de Mendonça dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. If César Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, César Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. LocoPub FC's supporters rose to their feet, but César Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romário de Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 played minutes Capitão FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Queiroz. After 67 minutes, Inácio Queiroz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capitão FC and the LocoPub FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of LocoPub FC booed when Capitão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inácio Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th match minute, LocoPub FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Caitano to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Luz in the 74th minute of play forced LocoPub FC's goalkeeper Stefanos Sioufas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, LocoPub FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Queiroz came free, but Stefanos Sioufas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capitão FC's Matías Gomes suffered a sore knee after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 79 minutes into the game, Luizão Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LocoPub FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capitão FC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Castro in the 86th minute of play forced Capitão FC's goalkeeper Romário de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário de Mendonça having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Amancio Caitano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched LocoPub FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
