Atlético Alagoano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo Faria was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.

Edvaldo Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvaldo Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nelsinho Barros came free in the 99th minute and tried to tip the ball over Guilherme Matos, but to the joy of Atlético Alagoano's supporters the ball went over.
