The audience was convinced that Loramendi Ugarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinho Vianna was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After 6 minutes of play, Curupai's Loramendi Ugarte made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Vianna was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo de Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Claudinho Vianna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 12 minutes into the match, Edson Simão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Vianna. Tropa de Exploração's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Simão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 17 minutes of play, Curupai's Loramendi Ugarte made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Vianna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Claudinho Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jefferson Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Edson Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Couto in the 25th minute of play forced Tropa de Exploração's goalkeeper Claudinho Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hílton Pimenta, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Lara in the 30th minute of play forced Tropa de Exploração's goalkeeper Claudinho Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinho Vianna came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Curupai's Edson Simão. But to his dismay, Edson Simão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Claudinho Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Baptista in the 39th minute of the match. Edson Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Claudinho Vianna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Tropa de Exploração getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Albertinho Massa hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Hílton Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Claudinho Vianna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loramendi Ugarte in the 56th minute. Loramendi Ugarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudinho Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loramendi Ugarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Carlos Baptista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Vianna. Tropa de Exploração's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Baptista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Loramendi Ugarte took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Claudinho Vianna to make any attempt to save it. Claudinho Vianna was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Edson Simão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edson Simão really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Jefferson Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute of the match, Carlos Eduardo de Senna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinho Vianna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 89th minute Jefferson Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinho Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Tropa de Exploração's Claudinho Vianna got control of the ball when Mário Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Claudinho Vianna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Baptista in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 minutes, Loramendi Ugarte made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Tropa de Exploração's Claudinho Vianna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Curupai played a much better game than Tropa de Exploração and deserved their victory. The Tropa de Exploração players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
