Douglas do Vale started the match with the kick off. Humberto Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Quintal having to interfere. Humberto Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Rodriguinho Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Maripa Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Veloso came free, but Ciro Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Veloso in the 12th minute of the match. Maripa Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Aloísio Veloso scored to the left of an out of position Ciro Neto, making the score, 1-0. Rodriguinho Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doni Mineiro in the 25th minute of play forced Maripa Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Ciro Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Neto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Décio Paraíba in the 31st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Aloísio Veloso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciro Neto. That made the score 2-0 in the 33 minute of play. If Humberto Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Ciro Neto made a huge save. Maripa Futebol Clube's Ciro Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Maripa Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. Rodriguinho Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Lira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The tension between the Maripa Futebol Clube and the TORRE FORTE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. TORRE FORTE's Rodriguinho Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Lira in the 94th minute of play. Ulysses Garcia in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rodriguinho Quintal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Maripa Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TORRE FORTE.
