When Tião da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guajarauna's protests and gave Tião da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Guajarauna got a freekick which was hit by Tião da Rocha. 17 minutes into the match, Guajarauna's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Massa came free, but Angelo de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Clóvis Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinho Vianna was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With an all-out effort, Guajarauna's Claudinho Vianna threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luisão Arósio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tropa de Exploração's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis Saldanha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Guajarauna's Ramiro Teles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Claudinho Vianna. That made the score 5-0 after 40 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Tropa de Exploração's Hílton Pimenta got a free kick in the 45th minute. Felipe Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Vianna having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Clóvis Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Ramiro Teles made a precise shot to the right of Claudinho Vianna. Tropa de Exploração's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Claudinho Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Teles in the 64th minute of the match.
