With his leg Teodoro Araújo managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Serra Futebol Clube's Nildo Rodrigues fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Waldir Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anísio Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Serra Futebol Clube's Válter Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nildo Rodrigues in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Araújo saved DJHOUS FC from getting behind. Teodoro Araújo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nildo Rodrigues in the 30th minute. With a little luck, DJHOUS FC's Teodoro Araújo got control of the ball when Pedro Luiz Salgado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Freire in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, DJHOUS FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Araújo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válter Santos. A hard shot by Armandinho Vasconcelos from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Teodoro Araújo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. DJHOUS FC's Teodoro Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save DJHOUS FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to DJHOUS FC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ronaldinho de Queiroz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in DJHOUS FC's zone, Armandinho Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Araújo came out of the goal and Armandinho Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Serra Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DJHOUS FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nildo Rodrigues was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nildo Rodrigues's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Teodoro Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Rosado in the 61st minute of play. In the 65th minute, Waldir Rosado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teodoro Araújo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 74th minute of the match Abelardo Prata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Araújo skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Rodrigues in the 77th minute of play forced DJHOUS FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 played minutes, Serra Futebol Clube's Abelardo Prata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodoro Araújo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Serra Futebol Clube reached it. Teodoro Araújo came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Serra Futebol Clube's Nildo Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Nildo Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Rodrigues in the 94th minute of play forced DJHOUS FC's goalkeeper Teodoro Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Serra Futebol Clube had played much better football throughout.
