The audience was convinced that Vivaldo Zonta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermínio Quirino was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Vivaldo Zonta might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hermínio Quirino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vivaldo Zonta ran back to his position shaking his head. Márcio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Quirino having to interfere. Márcio Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. DIAN's Hermínio Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Zonta in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Márcio Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enio Prado to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, DIAN's Gláuber Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. But to his dismay, Vivaldo Zonta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Angelo Mesquita hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Márcio Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Paulinho Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Igor Xavier. Crickets FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulinho Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Márcio Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Quirino having to interfere. Vivaldo Zonta's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Hermínio Quirino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The DIAN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Crickets FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Crickets FC.
