Gugu Teixeira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Juvenal de Castro. In the 11th minute Natã Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gugu Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Natã Nóbrega fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croc F.C's protests and gave Natã Nóbrega a yellow card for diving instead. Natã Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Alcântara in the 16th minute of play forced Croc F.C's goalkeeper Bebeto Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Croc F.C's zone, José Vítor de Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Antunes came out of the goal and José Vítor de Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gildo Alcântara in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bebeto Antunes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bebeto Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gildo Alcântara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bebeto Antunes was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. José Vítor de Sena charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Vítor de Sena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th match minute, Goiãnia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Vítor de Sena to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Júlio Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 28 minutes, José Augusto Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croc F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. André Luís Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Goiãnia's Júlio Pirani got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Croc F.C's Bebeto Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paes in the 38th minute of play. If André Luís Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Antunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Luís Senna's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Luís Paes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Bebeto Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Croc F.C's Bebeto Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo Alcântara in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 66th minute, Croc F.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after José Vítor de Sena fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Bebeto Antunes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gildo Alcântara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 72nd playminute. Gugu Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Lopez in the 75th minute of play. If André Luís Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Goiãnia's José Vítor de Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bebeto Antunes. Bebeto Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. 82 minutes into the game, Júlio Pirani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goiãnia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Croc F.C the free kick. 84 minutes into the match, José Augusto Sampaio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gugu Teixeira. Goiãnia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Augusto Sampaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 88thth minute of the game Luís Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croc F.C's Bebeto Antunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 89 minutes Croc F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Luís Senna who took care of the corner kick. Gildo Alcântara's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Bebeto Antunes firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Croc F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Goiãnia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
