After some careless play in the Assis AD defense, Juarês Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Faria. The Assis AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Faria should have stopped the shot. Juarês Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Faria having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Ian Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Leal in the 30th minute of play forced Anchieta SC's goalkeeper Aílton Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juarês Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Faria having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Assis AD's zone, Fiori Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Faria came out of the goal and Fiori Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Betinho Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 57 minutes, Fiori Abreu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Assis AD's Mauro Faria tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ian Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Aílton Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Assis AD's Aílton Quirino threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Meira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juarês Leme dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Assis AD's Mauro Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori Abreu in the 84th minute of play. If Ian Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juarês Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Faria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juarês Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Anchieta SC's Aílton Quirino got control of the ball when Ian Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Anchieta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juarês Leme to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Assis AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Anchieta SC.
