Gabriel Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the game, Walmyr Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cats Meow F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Parnaiba EC the free kick. After 20 played minutes Cats Meow F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Walmyr Costa. After recieving a nice pass, Parnaiba EC's Emerson Cabral tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Noel Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. José Vítor Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Benê Melo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 31st minute, José Vítor Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Parnaiba EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gustavo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, Cats Meow F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmyr Costa to maneuver through the defense. Josué Gonçalves hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abelardo Sena to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Sena in the 54th minute of play forced Cats Meow F.C.'s goalkeeper Benê Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Benê Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benê Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abelardo Sena went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Eugênio Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Aparecido having to interfere. If Gabriel Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cats Meow F.C.'s Noel Breckenfeld suffered a sprained foot after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Josué Gonçalves fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Parnaiba EC's protests and gave Josué Gonçalves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cats Meow F.C. booed when Parnaiba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cats Meow F.C.'s Benjamin Gomes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 87th minute Parnaiba EC were awarded a corner. Emerson Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. After 89 played minutes Cats Meow F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Falcão. After 90 minutes, Abelardo Sena made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cats Meow F.C.'s Benê Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cats Meow F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Parnaiba EC.
