After 28 minutes of play, Cats Meow F.C.'s Dário Mendonça made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Faria was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Gabriel Falcão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mauro Faria was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Gabriel Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vivaldo Donatello fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Assis AD's protests and gave Vivaldo Donatello a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cats Meow F.C. booed when Assis AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugênio Chaves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 47 played minutes Assis AD got a freekick which was hit by Geovani Paulista.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Meira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. One of Cats Meow F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Assis AD:s goal. Víktor de Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Cats Meow F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
