When Jeremias Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Serial Killers EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremias Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Felippe Matorin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murilo Oliveira. Sport Recife's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alexsandro Sampaio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murilo Oliveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 56th match minute, Serial Killers EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Vidal to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Serial Killers EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Faustão de Amorim fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Faustão de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Alexsandro Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 63rd play minutes Alexsandro Sampaio shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Murilo Oliveira and just under the crossbar into goal. Aílton Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Murilo Oliveira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeremias Gaspar went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hélio Reis stood somewhat misplaced when Faustão de Amorim came free in front of goal and shot 3-2 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Felippe Pontes hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Alexsandro Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Serial Killers EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute Alexsandro Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jeremias Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serial Killers EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeremias Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Murilo Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute Alexsandro Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
