Mané Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Geração Futebol 2000 getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Humberto Sampaio hit a great ball. In the 8th minute, Doriva Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Salles in the 12th minute of play forced Palestra Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Caio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Humberto Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Luisinho Ceresso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enéas Perez skillfully saved the ball. Caio Trancoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Cristóvão de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palestra Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enéas Perez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Perez having to interfere. Doriva Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Enéas Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doriva Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristóvão de Alcântara sped through Geração Futebol 2000's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Enéas Perez. After 43 minutes of play, Palestra Futebol Clube's Doriva Soeiro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enéas Perez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 59th minute Doriva Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enéas Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olavo Salles in the 61st minute of play forced Palestra Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Caio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Alves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caio Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Cristóvão de Alcântara struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Enéas Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palestra Futebol Clube. Geração Futebol 2000's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Doriva Soeiro 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. After 78 played minutes Palestra Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Andrade. In the 79th minute, Mazinho Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Mazinho Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Mazinho Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caio Trancoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mazinho Alves in the 95th minute of play forced Palestra Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Caio Trancoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Geração Futebol 2000 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palestra Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
