Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Corcovado's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Correia came free, but Zézinho Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt Johnsson in the 5th minute of the match. In the 5th match minute, Manchester Cic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lago to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 8 minutes, Bengt Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Cic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Johnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Alonso made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Zé Augusto Senna sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 16 minutes, Bengt Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Cic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Johnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hudson Correia in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zézinho Soares saved Corcovado from getting behind. When Mário Lago fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester Cic's protests and gave Mário Lago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Manchester Cic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lago to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Zé Augusto Senna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Fernando Alonso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Hudson Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Manchester Cic getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mário Lago hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, Manchester Cic's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Velasco came free, but Fernando Alonso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Hudson Correia sped through Corcovado's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zézinho Soares. In the 40th minute of the match Alex Paraibano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zézinho Soares skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Barreto got free with Fernando Alonso in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Velasco to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Corcovado's zone, Bengt Johnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zézinho Soares came out of the goal and Bengt Johnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Corcovado defense, Hudson Correia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zézinho Soares. The Corcovado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zézinho Soares should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Senna in the 60th minute of play forced Manchester Cic's goalkeeper Fernando Alonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Bengt Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Cic's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt Johnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alex Paraibano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zézinho Soares. Corcovado's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manchester Cic's Bengt Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Alex Paraibano in the 75th minute really tested Zézinho Soares's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 76th minute José de Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hudson Correia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Zézinho Soares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fernando Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Barreto in the 78th minute of play. Fernando Alonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Zé Augusto Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Alonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Zé Augusto Senna made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Alonso. Manchester Cic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Fernando Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
