Cristóvão de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Pedrão Sá made a huge save. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Os Mal Falado's goalkeeper Pedrão Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Cristóvão de Alcântara could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Pedrão Sá however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Os Mal Falado getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Pedro Luís Mota hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Doriva Soeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Os Mal Falado's Pedrão Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Soeiro in the 23rd minute of play forced Os Mal Falado's goalkeeper Pedrão Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Pedro Luís Mota was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Os Mal Falado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra Futebol Clube the free kick. After a rather tough play, Os Mal Falado's Pedro Luís Mota got a free kick in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Palestra Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Flávio Arruda came free, but Caio Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Os Mal Falado's Adilson Damião nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Trancoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A very good chance. Caio Trancoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Doriva Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Sá having to interfere. Pedrão Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Soeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Adilson Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Soeiro in the 55th minute of play forced Os Mal Falado's goalkeeper Pedrão Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flávio Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adilson Damião was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Os Mal Falado's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 81st minute of the match, Adilson Damião tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caio Trancoso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Palestra Futebol Clube's zone, Adilson Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caio Trancoso came out of the goal and Adilson Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute Doriva Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrão Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Caio Trancoso made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Os Mal Falado eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
