Abelardo França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atlético Patifaria's Sílvio Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Beto Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Pedro Freitas in the 23rd minute of play. Reynaldo Guedes hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, José Pedro Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Patifaria's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes TOT UNITD got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Neves. 35 minutes into the match, Atlético Patifaria's goal looked a bit too open when Tiaguinho Neves came free, but Dagoberto Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Atlético Patifaria's Sílvio Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Beto Viana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Tiaguinho Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Leite having to interfere. The TOT UNITD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Patifaria were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sílvio Teixeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Atlético Patifaria booed when TOT UNITD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute Tiaguinho Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wágner Tasso's late challenge caught a Atlético Patifaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléberson das Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Beto Viana made a huge save. The TOT UNITD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Patifaria were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
