Bengt Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Viana having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Bengt Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Cic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt Johnsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Bengt Johnsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Cic's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt Johnsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beto Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Oswaldo Martins put in a rough tackle. After 40 played minutes Manchester Cic got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Martins. When Tiaguinho Neves came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the TOT UNITD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiaguinho Neves couldn't finish the play. Mário Lago hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Bengt Johnsson was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 46th minute. Manchester Cic's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiaguinho Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manchester Cic's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Abelardo França scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Alonso, making the score, 0-2. In the 79th minute, Bengt Johnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bengt Johnsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Viana having to interfere. The supporters of Manchester Cic booed when TOT UNITD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 played minutes, Manchester Cic's João Arósio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beto Viana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manchester Cic reached it. 87 minutes into the match, Manchester Cic's goalkeeper Fernando Alonso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abelardo França. Bengt Johnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Beto Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Alonso made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Abelardo França sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Alonso was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Wágner Tasso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wágner Tasso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. The TOT UNITD players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
