After a defensive mix-up in BARCELONA FC's zone, Mathias de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Cavalcante came out of the goal and Mathias de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Wiliam Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Mathias de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathias de Barros in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cipriano Cavalcante saved BARCELONA FC from getting behind. Cipriano Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias de Barros in the 23rd minute of the match. Guto Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Gilvan Secco made a huge save. In the 26th match minute, Manaira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Guto Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. BARCELONA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Secco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Gilvan Secco successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute, Guto Vianna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilvan Secco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of BARCELONA FC booed when Manaira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luiz Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Paraense struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gilvan Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BARCELONA FC. Mathias de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. BARCELONA FC's Cipriano Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Cavalcante in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Mathias de Barros made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Mathias de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manaira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BARCELONA FC the free kick. BARCELONA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiago Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After having played for 77 minutes, Mathias de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manaira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias de Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tiago Cavalcante came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cipriano Cavalcante could save by the left post. The supporters of Manaira booed when BARCELONA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Cipriano Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Guimarães during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricardo Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
