Adrianinho de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Luisinho Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Freitas having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Manituba got a freekick which was hit by Gino Alvarenga. After recieving a nice pass, Vitinho's Eliézer Gaúcho tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luisinho Freitas was a little too slow when Dinei Bertassi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Allan Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vitinho's protests and gave Allan Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vitinho! After 27 minutes of play, Manituba's Vito Mello made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedito Teixeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benedito Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Luisinho Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalberto Romero in the 35th minute of the match. Rogério Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Urbano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogério Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Manituba's Gino Alvarenga got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Gino Alvarenga off the ground. Adrianinho de Senna scored 3-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luisinho Freitas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luisinho Freitas went to the wrong direction when Eliézer Gaúcho was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adalberto Romero made a kick off. After 56 minutes, Pedro Luiz Quintal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manituba and the Vitinho players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adalberto Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luisinho Freitas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adalberto Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisinho Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. During the 64th minute of the match Pedro Luiz Quintal completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pedro Luiz Quintal a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 65 played minutes Manituba got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luiz Quintal. Adalberto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Freitas having to interfere. Adalberto Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute, Adrianinho de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisinho Freitas was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho de Senna in the 75th minute of play forced Manituba's goalkeeper Luisinho Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Luisinho Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisinho Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adalberto Romero in the 81st minute of play. Adalberto Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Freitas having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Manituba's Breno Koehler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benedito Teixeira. That made the score 4-3 after 91 minutes of play. Manituba's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
