After some careless play in the Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys defense, Adalberto Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilton Vidal. The Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilton Vidal should have stopped the shot. After 12 played minutes Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Vander. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adalberto Romero in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilton Vidal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Vitinho's goalkeeper Benedito Teixeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César de Souza. 19 minutes into the game, Acácio Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vitinho the free kick. When Vitinho's Adrianinho de Senna in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelson Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nelson Vander in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vitinho's goalie prevented a goal. Nilton Vidal came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Vitinho's Adrianinho de Senna. But to his dismay, Adrianinho de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's Nilton Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalberto Romero in the 46th minute of play. When Vitinho's Adalberto Romero in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's goalie prevented a goal.

The wind increased when Nelson Vander made the kick off in the second half. Benedito Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Benedito Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Vander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dinei Bertassi during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 76th minute, Nelson Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys booed when Vitinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Bertassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes of play, Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys's César de Souza made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedito Teixeira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Acácio Linhares struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Benedito Teixeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys. Adalberto Romero succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. Despite being the better team, Atlhetic Guariba Monkeys failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
