A collision led to Creciuna AD getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Francisco Urbano hit a great ball. The supporters of Castelo de Areia E.C. booed when Creciuna AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Creciuna AD's zone, Gabriel Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Vergílio came out of the goal and Gabriel Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Castelo de Areia E.C.'s Fausto Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Ortiz in the 19th minute of play. Gabriel Messias struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Fernandão Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castelo de Areia E.C.. Gabriel Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fernandão Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Castelo de Areia E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Dionísio came free, but Fausto Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Ortiz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Amaral. Castelo de Areia E.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Ortiz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Creciuna AD's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Messias came free, but Fernandão Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute of the game, William Chaves landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Francisco Urbano's late challenge caught a Castelo de Areia E.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Urbano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Castelo de Areia E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. The Castelo de Areia E.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Creciuna AD were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnaldo Ortiz to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Marcel Dionísio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Creciuna AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Fausto Amaral was a little too slow when Arnaldo Ortiz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. Pedro Augusto Leals short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Fausto Amaral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Augusto Leal got free with Fausto Amaral in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernandão Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Silveira in the 74th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Creciuna AD got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Urbano. With a little luck, Castelo de Areia E.C.'s Fausto Amaral got control of the ball when Pedro Augusto Leal tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute, Francisco Urbano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcus Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Creciuna AD's Pedro Augusto Leal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Amaral. That made the score 0-5 after 84 minutes of play. Marcel Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fausto Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Creciuna AD. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Arnaldo Ortiz took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Fausto Amaral to make any attempt to save it. The Creciuna AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Creciuna AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
