Wilson Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Dráuzio Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Baluarte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio Amaral couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Cipriano Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baluarte FC. Carlos Alberto Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, BARCELONA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Cardoso came free, but Cipriano Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Alberto Cardoso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Wilson Matos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Cipriano Cavalcante when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Carlos Alberto Cardoso took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Cipriano Cavalcante to make any attempt to save it. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Percival Munhoz made a kick off. Wilson Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Cipriano Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baluarte FC's Carlos Alberto Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Percival Munhoz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Váldson Terra, 1-1. Guto Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Váldson Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Percival Munhoz in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Terra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilson Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Guto Vianna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Váldson Terra. Baluarte FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guto Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 76th minute, Guto Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Alberto Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guto Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Terra having to interfere. Baluarte FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Cavalcante breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Váldson Terra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Munhoz in the 96th minute of the match. Chants of BARCELONA FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Baluarte FC had held the ball for most of the match.
