Mauro Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlinhos Toscano's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Lúcio Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Gabriel Lago charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Lago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Gabriel Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes of play, Seixa's Váldson Valadares made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, Macacos's Wiliam Donatello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mário de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Macacos's Samuca de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Mauro Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Martins in the 31st minute of play. Váldson Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mauro Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Samuca de Amorim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mário de Moraes, 1-1. 39 minutes into the game, Samuca de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macacos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seixa the free kick. Mauro Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Váldson Valadares put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Mauro Mineiro. 47 minutes into the game, Wiliam Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Macacos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Seixa the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Macacos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Donatello to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Wiliam Donatello made the kick off in the second half. When Samuca de Amorim was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 52 minutes had been played. Mauro Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Carlinhos Toscano sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Macacos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Seixa:s goal. Váldson Valadares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Seixa's Váldson Valadares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauro Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Váldson Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Mauro Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Toscano in the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Valadares in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Mineiro saved Macacos from getting behind. Ivo Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th of the match, Váldson Valadares tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Mauro Mineiro got in the way and made a wonderful save. After having played for 99 minutes, Váldson Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seixa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Seixa could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Macacos throughout the match.
