Spectators: 6210 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 10) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frederico de Amaral kicked off to start the match. Hortêncio Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hortêncio Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Gaúcho in the 11th minute of play. Gonçalo de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hortêncio Cardoso having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Terciotti FC got a freekick which was hit by César Paiva. After a defensive mix-up in Pinhais F C's zone, Ivo Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hortêncio Cardoso came out of the goal and Ivo Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Terciotti FC's Gonçalo de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivo Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivo Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Aníbal Siqueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Joaquim Batista to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederico de Amaral in the 36th minute of play forced Terciotti FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erivaldo Custódio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Pinhais F C's Hortêncio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo de Alcântara in the 39th minute of play. Terciotti FC were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Pinhais F C's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ciro Paraibano took the corner. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Frederico de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinhais F C's protests and gave Frederico de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Terciotti FC booed when Pinhais F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivo Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Gaúcho in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hortêncio Cardoso saved Pinhais F C from getting behind.
