Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wiliam Donatello got the match started through his kick off. Macacos's Mauro Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Teixeira in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Pedro Augusto Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benjamim Rezende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wiliam Donatello's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 16th minute Leandro Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Agnaldo Romero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiliam Donatello was extremely unlucky when he, in the 19th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 21st minute, Zé Augusto Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Macacos booed when Cassu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agnaldo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th match minute, Macacos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuca de Amorim to maneuver through the defense. 32 minutes into the match, Cassu's Fábio Teixeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 38 minutes, Zé Augusto Trancoso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cassu and the Macacos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leandro Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Gerber to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca de Amorim in the 55th minute of play forced Cassu's goalkeeper Benjamim Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Mauro Mineiro managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Cassu's Fábio Teixeira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Samuca de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Samuca de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macacos's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuca de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamim Rezende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Augusto Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Samuca de Amorim put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benjamim Rezende. After a defensive mix-up in Cassu's zone, Wiliam Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benjamim Rezende came out of the goal and Wiliam Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Gerber in the 97th minute of the match. Macacos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
