Spectators: 7331 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1686, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maurinho Dante took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Iate SS's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Veiga came free, but Gilson Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Arí Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erivaldo Custódio's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Gilson Loyola on his right side and into the goal. 7 minutes into the game it was 0-1. Frederico de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gilson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Frederico de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Pinhais F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frederico de Amaral couldn't finish the play. Gilson Loyola came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Pinhais F C's Frederico de Amaral. But to his dismay, Frederico de Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Aníbal Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Hugo Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the game, Pinhais F C's Aníbal Siqueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilson Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. When Enéas Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pinhais F C's protests and gave Enéas Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Pinhais F C's Hortêncio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Dante in the 37th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Maurinho Dante rounded Pinhais F C's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. In the 46th match minute, Iate SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Válbson Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frederico de Amaral made a kick off. Hortêncio Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jânio Pernambucano in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iate SS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erivaldo Custódio was slow to take the kick. During this time Pinhais F C's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Iate SS getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Breno Camargo hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pinhais F C's Arthur Rossi got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Aníbal Siqueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilson Loyola having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederico de Amaral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gilson Loyola. That made the score 1-4 in the 72 minute of play. Breno Camargo's late challenge caught a Pinhais F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno Camargo helped the player get up and apologised. Pinhais F C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erivaldo Custódio in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Hugo Carioca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilson Loyola. The goal made the score 1-6. Hugo Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gilson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pinhais F C played a much better game than Iate SS and deserved their victory. The Iate SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
