Benjamim Rezende was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldão Figueiredo in the 6th minute of play forced Cassu's goalkeeper Benjamim Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes, Betinho Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brasilia and the Cassu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benjamim Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raí Siqueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 15th match minute, Cassu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Matorin to maneuver through the defense. Jefferson Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Peixoto in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Cassu's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fontes came free, but Benjamim Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Leandro Gerber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Santos. Brasilia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Gerber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Adrianinho Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Cassu's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fontes came free, but Benjamim Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Augusto Matorin fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cassu's protests and gave Pedro Augusto Matorin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brasilia booed when Cassu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Augusto Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute, Pedro Augusto Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Brasilia's Carlos Eduardo Sousa tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leandro Gerber came free with the goalkeeper in the 43rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jefferson Santos could save by the left post. Raí Siqueira hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jefferson Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Luiz Eduardo Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Augusto Matorin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Brasilia's Carlos Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cassu's Benjamim Rezende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Cassu from getting a goal against them. Ronaldão Figueiredos short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Benjamim Rezende to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Raúl de Almeida's late challenge caught a Brasilia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raúl de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. Raúl de Almeida hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute of the match Brasilia got a corner. Cassu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carlos Eduardo Sousa ran over to the corner to take the kick. 74 minutes into the match, Cassu's goalkeeper Benjamim Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldão Figueiredo. Carlos Fontes struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Benjamim Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brasilia. Benjamim Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fontes in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Cassu's Luiz Eduardo Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Carlos Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldão Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Carlos Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Rezende made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Ronaldão Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Fontes in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamim Rezende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cassu were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Brasilia for a fine match.
