Mauro Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Siqueira in the 4th minute of play. Samuca de Amorims short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Hortêncio Cardoso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Agnaldo Romero's late challenge caught a Pinhais F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agnaldo Romero helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pinhais F C booed when Macacos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Pinhais F C's goalkeeper Hortêncio Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuca de Amorim. In the 40th minute Aníbal Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frederico de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Samuca de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Macacos's zone, Frederico de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Mineiro came out of the goal and Frederico de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After a defensive mix-up in Macacos's zone, Frederico de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Mineiro came out of the goal and Frederico de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aníbal Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Mauro Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Macacos got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Cavalcante. Mauro Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico de Amaral's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. If Aníbal Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frederico de Amaral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Mauro Mineiro 66 minutes into the match. Pinhais F C's Hortêncio Cardoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Donatello in the 71st minute of play. In the 84thth minute of the game Frederico de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macacos's Mauro Mineiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederico de Amaral kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mauro Mineiro. That made the score 0-2 in the 86 minute of play. Wiliam Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pinhais F C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
