Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Breno de Sena kicked off to start the match. After 5 played minutes, Arcangelo's Alfredinho Dias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Vidal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arcangelo reached it. In the 11th minute, Arcangelo's Lenílson Alcântara seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lenílson Alcântara the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arcangelo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lenílson Alcântara had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Arcangelo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Faca na Caveira FC:s goal. After 17 minutes, Filipe Prestes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arcangelo and the Faca na Caveira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Caetano Eger came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Faca na Caveira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Eger couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute Caetano Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Remo Gonçalves during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Faca na Caveira FC got a freekick which was hit by Cacá da Cunha. Manuel Novaes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Vidal having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Breno de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faca na Caveira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno de Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerson Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Arcangelo booed when Faca na Caveira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faca na Caveira FC's Remo Gonçalves suffered a sore thigh after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 37 minutes into the game, Michel Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arcangelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Faca na Caveira FC the free kick. Faca na Caveira FC's Ademir Varela was substituted for Remo Gonçalves. After a rather tough play, Arcangelo's Michel Sabóia got a free kick in the 38th minute. Luís Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Goiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Vidal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Goiano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 46th match minute, Arcangelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Prestes to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manuel Novaes to strike the kick off in the second half. Alberto Vidal made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Manuel Novaes sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Novaes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Alberto Vidal skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Manuel Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Alberto Vidal made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Dário Botelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Vidal was a little too slow when Luís Goiano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. Thanks to some nice moves Manuel Novaes could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Alberto Vidal however easily saved by the left post. Caetano Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Baiano having to interfere. Cacá da Cunha hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Manuel Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Arcangelo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Novaes couldn't finish the play. Alberto Vidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Novaes went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Arcangelo's Manuel Novaes got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caetano Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerson Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. Manuel Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Alberto Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arcangelo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
