Spectators: 7187 (Terracing: 5392, Seating: 1653, VIP seats: 142) Marreco FC's Betão Matorin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luiz Guilherme de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Mazza's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Real Iputinga's Luiz Guilherme de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Matorin in the 14th minute of play. Luciano Leão had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Renato de Amaral from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a little luck, Marreco FC's Luciano Leão got control of the ball when Romário Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Betão Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Real Iputinga's Renato de Amaral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luciano Leão. Luciano Leão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 28 minutes into the game, Renato de Amaral lined in a short shot 4-0 behind a frustrated Luciano Leão. Luiz Guilherme de Senna came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Marreco FC's Betão Matorin. But to his dismay, Betão Matorin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Mazza in the 37th minute of play forced Real Iputinga's goalkeeper Luiz Guilherme de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Luciano Leão successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilberto Braga's late challenge caught a Marreco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Braga helped the player get up and apologised. The referee gave Marreco FC a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edu Ramos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Real Iputinga's Luiz Guilherme de Senna. 4-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

When Nilton Fernandez came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Real Iputinga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Fernandez couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Betão Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marreco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Betão Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The Marreco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Leão should have stopped the shot.
