After having played for 6 minutes, Valdo Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pãfzinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdo Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Félix in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomás de Azevedo saved Mesquita Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 9th minute, José Carlos Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Valdo Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thomás de Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdo Félix went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute of the match Zé Paulo Simões shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiori Soeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Eugênio Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eugênio Baptista the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eugênio Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Pãfzinho's goalkeeper Fiori Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matheus Mangueira. Valdo Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Matheus Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Mesquita Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Valdo Félix came free, but Thomás de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mesquita Futebol Clube's Lauro Cardoso got a free kick in the 46th minute. Dorival da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horácio de Senna to make the kick off. Eugênio Baptista hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Valdo Félix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Thomás de Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mesquita Futebol Clube's zone, Jeferson Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomás de Azevedo came out of the goal and Jeferson Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Valdo Félix, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 77 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Thomás de Azevedo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Carlos Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Thomás de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Valdo Félix sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Félix got free with Thomás de Azevedo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mesquita Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. After 89 played minutes Mesquita Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Fontes. Valdo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomás de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Valdo Félix sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Pãfzinho could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mesquita Futebol Clube throughout the match.
