The Pãfzinho fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Pãfzinho's Jeferson Dias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Jorge Mattos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Nunes in the 21st minute of play. Pãfzinho were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after cajamar's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dorival da Fonseca took the corner. In the 25th match minute, cajamar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to cajamar getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Zézinho Antunes hit a great ball. Valdo Félix might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Mattos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdo Félix ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Félix, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 39th minute, Armandinho Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Valdo Félix came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Pãfzinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Félix couldn't finish the play. The cajamar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pãfzinho were winning 0-2.

Jorge Mattos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Marcel Moreira. With his leg Jorge Mattos managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 61st minute, Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jorge Mattos. Jorge Mattos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. In the 65th minute, Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Valdo Félix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Jorge Mattos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pãfzinho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! Jeferson Dias struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Jorge Mattos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pãfzinho. The crowd rose to their feet as Valdo Félix kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jorge Mattos. That made the score 1-5 in the 80 minute of play. Valdo Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jorge Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldinho Salgado during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes cajamar got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Salgado. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Valdo Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pãfzinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdo Félix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeferson Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jorge Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdo Félixs short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Jorge Mattos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Valdo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The cajamar fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pãfzinho were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
