The supporters of Bananeiras FC booed when Mesquita Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matheus Mangueira in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frederico Salgado to strike the kick off in the second half. When Matheus Mangueira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mesquita Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matheus Mangueira couldn't finish the play. Jairo Barral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesquita Futebol Clube. If Eusébio Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner ended in Lucas da Costa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mesquita Futebol Clube's Thomás de Azevedo did a great save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mesquita Futebol Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bananeiras FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
