Jeferson Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Barral having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Valdo Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jairo Barral was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Bananeiras FC's zone, Jeferson Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Barral came out of the goal and Jeferson Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frederico Salgado was the one to do the kick off. With his leg Jairo Barral managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jairo Barral didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdo Félix got free with Jairo Barral in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Guimarães's late challenge caught a Bananeiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. Jeferson Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jairo Barral managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Pãfzinho's Valdo Félix fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Armandinho Nunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Barral having to interfere. Bananeiras FC's Jairo Barral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Bananeiras FC from getting a goal against them. If Jeferson Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Pãfzinho booed when Bananeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Barral acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 95th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Dorival da Fonseca. Pãfzinho's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
