Thomás de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mesquita Futebol Clube's Matheus Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matheus Mangueira got free with Jorge Mattos in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When William Dias fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Jorge Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matheus Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. If Olavo Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. cajamar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
