Igor Carneiro started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Enio Passos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vivaldo Medeiros skillfully saved the ball. Vivaldo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Catarina F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Vinhas. After 10 played minutes Catarina F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Siqueira. Murillo Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Murillo Cavalcante had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vivaldo Medeiros. Catarina F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo Cavalcante was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Carneiro in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vivaldo Medeiros saved Catarina F.C. from getting behind. André Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th match minute, Blue F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo Sena to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, André Prado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Osvaldinho Sergipano, 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Mauro Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Armandinho dos Santos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 40 minutes into the match, Blue F.C.'s Murillo Cavalcante sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vivaldo Medeiros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Igor Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the game, Blue F.C.'s Murillo Cavalcante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vivaldo Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After the first half Blue F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and André Prado made a kick off. Igor Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vivaldo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murillo Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Medeiros having to interfere. Igor Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vivaldo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vivaldo Medeiros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Murillo Cavalcante in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Catarina F.C. getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Laerte Vinhas hit a great ball. Igor Carneiro was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Vivaldo Medeiros successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 69th minute, Murillo Cavalcante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Armandinho dos Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armandinho dos Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Igor Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 98 played minutes Catarina F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho dos Santos. Murillo Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Vivaldo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
