The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Evandro Braga during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesinha de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Goiano in the 8th minute of play. Fábio Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Abraão in the 10th minute of play. João Pedro Goiano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Conchas's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If João Pedro Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Conchas's João Pedro Goiano got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Gilvan Fernandes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Conchas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DMR Esporte Clube the free kick. After 23 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Conchas! In the 24th minute there was a penalty for DMR Esporte Clube. Tiago Abraão stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fábio Cearense. 0-1. If Cléber Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Arósio in the 27th minute of play forced Conchas's goalkeeper Fábio Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Arósio scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fábio Cearense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 minutes, Felipe Arósio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DMR Esporte Clube and the Conchas players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to DMR Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Felipe Arósio hit a great ball. João Pedro Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesinha de Queirós having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Conchas's Almir Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesinha de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cesinha de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Almir Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, DMR Esporte Clube's Jeremias Toscano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, DMR Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Goiano came free, but Cesinha de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half DMR Esporte Clube were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Pedro Goiano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Conchas's Almir Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Cearense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Abraão in the 76th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Conchas's goalkeeper Fábio Cearense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Arósio. Cesinha de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Queiroz in the 85th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Damião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cesinha de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Almir Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Felipe Arósio scored 0-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fábio Cearense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Conchas's Almir Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesinha de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Although Conchas had been in control for most of the match, DMR Esporte Clube still came away with the win.
