After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Victor de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rejeitados FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Benedito Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. João Carlos Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th match minute, Cavalaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Domingues to maneuver through the defense. If Victor de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Rejeitados FC's Fellipe Vander got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 48 minutes, Claudinei Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rejeitados FC and the Cavalaria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 49 played minutes Rejeitados FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Porto. If Gilson Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Gilson Barral made the kick off in the second half. Victor de Moraes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Rejeitados FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalaria FC's zone, Guga Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Tróia came out of the goal and Guga Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. João Carlos Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guga Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cavalaria FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. César Barros hit a great ball. When Guga Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rejeitados FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga Matorin couldn't finish the play. After 79 minutes, Benedito Domingues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavalaria FC and the Rejeitados FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Cavalaria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito Domingues to maneuver through the defense. João Carlos Tróia acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Manoel Souza. In the 86th minute of the match, Victor de Moraes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Carlos Tróia saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cavalaria FC's João Carlos Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor de Moraes in the 88th minute of play. Manoel Souza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Carlos Tróia. Cavalaria FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Guga Matorins short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got João Carlos Tróia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abel Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilson Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When João Paulo das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cavalaria FC's protests and gave João Paulo das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cavalaria FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, João Carlos Tróia, was totally fooled by Rejeitados FC's Manoel Souza, who 100 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
