In the 14th minute, Tomé Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Velasco's late challenge caught a São Paulo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a rather tough play, São Paulo's Erik Matos got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Zé Pedro Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Patrick da Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 62 minutes, Andrézinho Bittencourt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Razeirense B and the São Paulo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cássio Goiano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Peixoto in the 82nd minute of play forced São Paulo's goalkeeper Patrick da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Razeirense B's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
