The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Bernardo Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunáticos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Gustavo Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 4 played minutes PRATTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Galvão. Luís Gustavo Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Ramalho in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Prata in the 12th minute of play forced PRATTI FC's goalkeeper Luís Gustavo Damião to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PRATTI FC's Cafu Rosado got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, PRATTI FC's Falcão Galvão got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Horácio Prata fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lunáticos FC's protests and gave Horácio Prata a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Lunáticos FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Horácio Prata hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lunáticos FC's Ernani de Queirós got control of the ball when Teodoro Martins tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edgard Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A hard shot by Luisinho Pereira from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Ernani de Queirós's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cafu Rosado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernani de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Bernardo Ramalho made the kick off in the second half. If Teodoro Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cafu Rosado in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernani de Queirós saved Lunáticos FC from getting behind. After 58 played minutes PRATTI FC got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Rosado. Bernardo Ramalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luís Gustavo Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cafu Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernani de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Horácio Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in PRATTI FC's zone, Horácio Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Gustavo Damião came out of the goal and Horácio Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernani de Queirós came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by PRATTI FC's Teodoro Martins. But to his dismay, Teodoro Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Teodoro Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dedê Pinheiro fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lunáticos FC's protests and gave Dedê Pinheiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PRATTI FC booed when Lunáticos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cafu Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ernani de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Horácio Prata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luís Gustavo Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lunáticos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PRATTI FC.
