A collision led to Gueto getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Fabinho Cerezo hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, Cornos .S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Clemente Alagoano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Gueto's Falcão Carneiro. Falcão Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Falcão Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clemente Alagoano went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gildo Félix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Falcão Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gueto's Falcão Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Gueto from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Cornos .S.A booed when Gueto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Alagoano in the 25th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, Cornos .S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo Galvão came free, but Clemente Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes, Natanael Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cornos .S.A and the Gueto players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, Cornos .S.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Wanderson Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wanderson Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. Reinaldo Torres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Clemente Sena came out and tried to block the shot, but Reinaldo Torres slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 51st minute. Gildo Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wanderson Gonçalves in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Falcão Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wanderson Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falcão Carneiro having to make a save. Falcão Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Clemente Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Falcão Carneiro. Gueto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clemente Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Clemente Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Wanderson Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerônimo Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Adalberto Messias hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Wilton Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clemente Sena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Fabinho Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Gonçalves in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Falcão Carneiro saved Gueto from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Alagoano in the 94th minute of play forced Gueto's goalkeeper Falcão Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Augusto Moraes hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When Cornos .S.A's Wanderson Gonçalves in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gueto's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gueto players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cornos .S.A.
