Cornos .S.A's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Augusto Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Quadros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Sena made a huge save. A collision led to Cornos .S.A getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Natanael Azevedo hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes Cornos .S.A got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Gonçalves. 25 minutes into the match, Wanderson Gonçalves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Zé Augusto Sena, 1-0. With a little luck, rondoense's Zé Augusto Sena got control of the ball when Wanderson Gonçalves tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, rondoense's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Gonçalves came free, but Zé Augusto Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Clemente Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Gonçalves in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Sena saved rondoense from getting behind. Angelo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Sena having to interfere. In the 47th minute Samuca Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Angelo Abreu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Wanderson Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, rondoense's Samuca Lara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Clemente Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Zé Augusto Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65thth minute of the game Wanderson Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but rondoense's Zé Augusto Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wanderson Gonçalves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Augusto Sena having to make a save. Clemente Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Sena having to interfere. A collision led to rondoense getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Elias Quirino hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Wanderson Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornos .S.A were furious when Adalberto Messias was red carded, 84 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of rondoense booed when Cornos .S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adalberto Messias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuca Lara in the 87th minute. Gildo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Sena having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cornos .S.A had played much better football throughout.
