An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Sousa in the 9th minute of play forced Itapinima AD's goalkeeper Hélder Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Fausto Sousa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hélder Dantas, 1-0. In the 15th minute Fausto Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Dantas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Messias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Chiquinho Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Itapinima AD's Elivélton Cardoso got a free kick in the 25th minute. With a little luck, Itapinima AD's Hélder Dantas got control of the ball when Victor Fernandes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elivélton Cardoso hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Hélder Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Sousa in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Fausto Sousa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hélder Dantas. The goal made the score 2-0. If Victor Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Fausto Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Dantas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Itapinima AD's zone, Victor Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Dantas came out of the goal and Victor Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Sousa in the 85th minute of play forced Itapinima AD's goalkeeper Hélder Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Falcão Negro Sport Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
