In the 51st minute, Sydney Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ademir Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Coroacy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ademir Paraíba couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes Coroacy got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Fantini. The referee ignored Coroacy's protests and gave Váldson Alves a yellow card for diving instead. Váldson Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademir Paraíba in the 95th minute of play forced Atlético Lucena FC's goalkeeper Luizinho Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
