The referee ignored Predadores da Bola's protests and gave Beto Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Percival Prado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hermínio Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Predadores da Bola booed when Laurentino da Gama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beto Neto struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rafinha Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Alberto Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Predadores da Bola's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Alberto Quirino scored 0-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafinha Mendes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luiz Fábio Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beto Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafinha Mendes having to interfere. Umberto Meirelles took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zézinho Saraiva. Zézinho Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 67th minute Alberto Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Laurentino da Gama getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Cesinha da Silveira hit a great ball. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laurentino da Gama's goalkeeper Rafinha Mendes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Laurentino da Gama's Rafinha Mendes got control of the ball when Beto Neto tried to sneak it across the goal line. A well placed Alberto Quirino short distance shot in the 89th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. The Predadores da Bola players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
