The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Marcelo Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Nozes Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 12th minute Adriano Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Aquidauananese getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Waldemar Pinho hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Aquidauananese got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Hoffmann. Egídio Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Adriano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vivaldo Batista took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorginho Loureiro. Jorginho Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Marcelo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Red Nozes Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Marcelo Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robinho Cruz. Aquidauananese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Red Nozes Football Club's Adriano Tavares in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Robinho Cruz came out of the goal and Adriano Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Adriano Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Nozes Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Adriano Tavares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Tavares made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Red Nozes Football Club's Davi Mineiro got a free kick in the 56th minute. Robinho Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Haroldo Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Marcelo Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. A hard shot by Gláuber Simão from long distance, 82 minutes into the match, got Jorginho Loureiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Aquidauananese booed when Red Nozes Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Vivaldo Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorginho Campidelis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorginho Loureiro having to make a save. Adriano Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 93rd minute, Adriano Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Nozes Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Red Nozes Football Club were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Aquidauananese for a fine match.
