Ernesto Faria's late challenge caught a Galáticos Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ernesto Faria helped the player get up and apologised. 15 minutes into the game, one of Pegasus FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manoel Coutinho shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Erik de Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pegasus FC's Oswaldo Alagoano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erik de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Alagoano having to interfere. Leopoldo Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ulysses Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmyr Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Alagoano having to interfere. Oswaldo Alagoano was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Walmyr Carioca capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walmyr Carioca really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. A collision led to Pegasus FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jefferson Coelho hit a great ball. Galáticos Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Pegasus FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manoel Coutinho took the corner. Galáticos Futebol Clube's Manoel Coutinho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Oswaldo Alagoano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Walmyr Carioca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswaldo Alagoano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Pegasus FC's Oswaldo Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Pegasus FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Pegasus FC booed when Galáticos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulysses Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Donato's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Galáticos Futebol Clube played a much better game than Pegasus FC and deserved their victory. The Pegasus FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
